1)What do I get for FREE!
In Club SuperShoots, Free is a four letter word! You get "nothing" free. You get valuable investment pieces though. When you hear the word "free" what runs through your mind? A scam? a gimmick? to get you in and it's really not worth anything? We totally agree! We're not giving you anything free, we're helping you invest in your career. Part of what we're doing is helping you rethink your business, it's philosophies and how it's ran. Changing your verbiage is one of them. If you insist on using the word free then you get access to ShootOUTS.
2)What is an EduShoot?
An EduShoot is a learning workshop.These are NOT free in your membership, they are discounted ONLY. Jay will usually have a 4:1 ratio photographers to models. He will go over a variety of topics such as lighting and posing. There will usually be a theme, beauty, fashion and glamor to name a few. Jay will answer your questions and educate you so you can take the things you learn and apply them within your own business. The spaces are usually limited with EduShoots to keep the groups small. 3)What is a Colorado SuperShoot?
At this point, these are no longer offered. They will not be offered in the foreseeable future.
4)How long is my membership good for?
Each membership is good for ONE YEAR!
5)When will I receive my membership packet?
Currently we are looking at a ship date of 2-3 weeks from sign up.
6)What other discounts do I get?
From time to time we have sponsors that offer our discount down to you, with more coming soon!!! Currently we have a few that are offering a 20% off for CLUB MEMBERS ONLY. (Email Jay to get a code for your 20% off)
7) I've paid for an EduShoot but can't make it, give me my money back punk!
Edushoots have been put on indefinate hold at this point in time. Your membership only gives you guarenteed access to the shootouts.
8)What do you do with all this money you make?
HAH!! EVERY TIME I teach a workshop, I'm out far more money than I take in. Photography is my business, it's what I do. When I teach people my tips and tricks, I'm giving away part of my uniqueness, not to mention I'm not booking PAYING clients in that time frame. If you TRULY apply yourself, what you pay me is peanuts to what you can take home.
9)How do I go about a refund?
Refunds are given as long as you've NOT attended a shootout. If you attend a shootout, then you have gotten far more than the price of the membership price and with materials and access to exclusive models that I provide you, sadly, I'm unable to offer one. If you haven't attended a shootout, you can receive a refund up to 14days after sign up. By the 15th day, you will more than likely got your membership packet and access to discounts and other valuable info that is not free.
10)I get to take photos right?
Yes! that's what we meant by "you take over and start shooting" Pay attention!! ;)
11)What can I do with these photos? Can I sell them?
No!! These photos are for portfolio building purposes ONLY. You are paying to learn lighting and to take what you learn and apply it, so when you leave here, you will be able to duplicate it.
12)Dude, FHM wants to run the photo, I REALLY can't publish/sell?
Talk to the model. At the end of every EduShoot, everyone is provided with contact info of the models. If you and the model decide to enter into your own agreement, that's between you two.
13)"Jaaaay, you and I go way back man, I want to know, how can I make this photo better"?
Hi friend, while I understand and appreciate the fact that we're old time friends, I humbly ask that you don't take advantage of our friendship by soliciting help on issues that others are paying for. If I were a doctor, would you ask me to give you a FREE x-ray? most likely no, so don't take advantage of my services.
14)Can I pay cash the day of the workshop? I don't have a credit card
No, sorry. I run the classes on a first come, first serve basis and because of that, the people who pay first, get in first. I also dislike discussing money and if I have to follow you and sweat you for money, it makes me feel like a heel and you like I'm pestering you.
15)How come we don't get a say in what EduShoots we get?
....Where did you see something stating that? I'm pretty well versed with photography, lighting and posing. If you want to shoot a specific model or if you want a specific style of photography, let me know!
16)Do you only work with models? I'm a Senior Portrait photographer and have no need for models.
We have workshops for PEOPLE photography. We have just introduced a "Fashionable Senior" workshop and will continue to do so. Keep your eye out and refer to #15
17)I want to sign up, but I'm afraid you will sell my info?
Why would I? what would I get from selling your info? I've been doing this almost 10 years, long before the quick fix boom of todays photography "instructors" I've NEVER sold a mailing list and never would. I especially wouldn't sell a membership based list.
16)Do you record everything? what if I don't want to be on a video?
While I do record a large percentage of video, I don't record everything. On top of that, if you don't want to be filmed, please let me know! It's not my intent to put anyone out. I work with several top studios here in Colorado and perform consultations for them. You'll never know who as I respect their right to privacy.
